Oly Oly oxen free!
And here is an excellent Olympia SM-2, purchased for $59.99 at Unique Thrift in Burnsville. I was on a mission to find a camera backpack, and walking into the store, saw the back of this case, which is of the tweed square variety, and thought that it was probably a Royal of some sort. Coming around to the front of the machine, I realized that it was an Olympia, and thought that it had been placed in the wrong case. Then I noticed that it wasn't an SM-3, as there was no tab key... So I walked around with it for a while, found a couple sheets of paper, and did a type test. A solid machine, with pica clear as a bell. I had a discount, and walked out of the store happy. Came to the conclusion a few days later that the paper pan release lever had been snapped off at some point in the past, and so I am looking forward to finding some time to transplant that from a SM-4 that I've decided will be my parts machine.
